For more than twenty years, the Palestinian Ophthalmological Society has contributed to raising the standard of eye-care in Palestine through several channels:
- Organising scientific conferences, medical days, and workshops that keep pace with the latest developments in ophthalmology and eye surgery.
- Supporting continuing medical education for ophthalmologists and resident physicians.
- Strengthening cooperation with universities, medical centres, and Arab and international scientific societies.
- Hosting three Palestinian International Ophthalmology Conferences (2011, 2015, and 2017) with specialists from Palestine and abroad.
The Society continues its work to strengthen the standing of Palestinian ophthalmology and improve the quality of services provided to patients, regionally and internationally.
